Posted: Jun 13, 2007 12:23 PM	Open Cell Foam - does it allow water to penetrate ? I've heard conflicting information about open cell foam. Can someone tell me the verifiable facts about open cell foam? It would seem to me that it should never be used if it allows water to penetrate through it.

You can download a copy from my website, www.masonknowles.com But, yes open cell foam allows water to go through it. So long as you don't need a water resistant insulation it will work fine.

But, yes open cell foam allows water to go through it. So long as you don't need a water resistant insulation it will work fine.
