hey mason,

i bought a new to me box truck that i am gonna make a rig. the truck is a cab over with about 6 to 8 inches clearance between the bottom of the cab and the motor at its closest point. old truck never had air conditioning. and the heat off the motor only makes it suck that much more. the truck came from up north so it has a little rust under there as well.

would love to tilt the cab up and sand blast the bottom then spray an inch or so of cc. maybe do some bed liner over that.that would probably add some insulation and stregnth. but, i also see how this might be a real bad idea. what do you think?

Troutkiller,

I have seen this solution work pretty well. But, you need to make sure that the surface doesn't get above 200 degrees F (which would make the foam char). Measure the surface temperature of the metal and if it is well below 200 degrees go ahead and spray. If it is above, add some fiber insulation then spray.
