Mason, correct me if I'm wrong but polyurea or a single component polyurethane for a "hardcoat" on an interior application is not going to give bayouboy the thermal barrier he will need to be in compliance with fire codes.

A polyurea or polyurethane coating is not a thermal barrier. You would require something under the coating. But, I am familiar with the boating industry in the northwest and they use polyurea in fishing boats over the foam. Not sure what testing has been done to determine the fire safety of the situation. |
