Coatings
On an existing spf roof, how do you tell if it has an existing silicone, or acrylic coating?

experience. Silicone has a soft rubbery feel and will pick up dirt that scrapes away with a fingernail.

So then how do you go about re-coating the silicone, guys?

Was anyone using aromatic polyureas as a topcoat back in the early 90's?

I looked at a roof today that had a black rubbery coating, SPF'ed in 1992.

Also looked at another today that had an aluminum rubbery coating roller-applied about two years ago. Any ideas?
