chemical reaction to concrete?
A comment was made to me by a local building inspector to the effect that there is some evidence that SPF applied to concrete created some kind of negative chemical reaction impacting the performance of the foam. Has anyone else heard similar comments? I wish I could be more specific but his comment was rather vague and had no proof to back it up. Thanks

I am not aware of a chemical reaction (unless he observed the foam reacting with mositure within the concrete). However, frequently the concrete's surface contains contaminants that can affect the adhesion of the foam to the concrete.

What would be an appropriate remedy should such an occasion present itself?

Either clean the surface with an agent that gets rid of the contaminants, or sweep blast then prime. (again go with manufacturer's recommendation.)
