Termites and Foam
Citrus County Florida is asking for docs pertaining to the temite resistance of foam??
What doc can I forward to this inspector?

Tests performed on generic SPF systems demonstrate that termites can burrow through SPF but that it does not provide food for them.

Many SPF manufacturers have test data available on their foams that can be provided to the code official.

Generically, any foam plastic that is used below grade in termite heavy areas (such as Florida) require documentation that it is resistant to termite infestation and to have inspection and treatment gaps above the ground level of the foundation to check and treat for termites.
