R-value of foam.
Mason,

Does the R-value of spray foam increase with the thichness, like other products. I have been told that if a product has say and r-7 @ inch the r-value of 4" would be higher than R-28. If this is true is there are rule of thumb as far as percentage of increase? Also for code purposes do they look at intial or aged r-value?

Most of the closed cell foams will increase with thicker applications. For example, if the foam is measured at 6.0 at one inch, it may be 6.2 at 3 inch.
