Exterior Spray Foam - Basement Waterproofing
I just finish a large basement here in Texas, I'm looking for the best practice to waterproof then back-fill. I have not been able to find much literature on using closed-cell spray foam. The little bit that I can find says I should use a minimum of 2.5lb density closed cell at 2" thick then immediately spray with acrylic UV coating.

Although underground, I cannot back-fill immediately and the top one to two feet of basement will be exposed for longer periods of time until the stucco comes down and over so that explains the UV coat.

Do you guys believe this will stand the test of time for waterproofing concrete walls under ground? Do I need to put a dimple board or mat up against the foam before back-filling to protect from damage or is the foam strong enough?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!
