Properties near water, whether homes, businesses, or marinas, often encounter difficulties as cracks and unstable soil threaten their foundations. It’s widely recognized that these issues can lead to water infiltration and severe damage, resulting in cracked seawalls and unstable ground.

At Foam Guys, their passion for using patented soil stabilization technology empowers them to resolve these problems at a fraction of the cost of traditional repairs. Their innovative foam injection technology fills irregularities, cracks, and sinking soil, offering hope and solutions. Recently, a client in Pompano Beach sought their expertise for a long-standing and distressing issue. Years of soil loss had created visible voids and soft spots behind a 98-linear-foot seawall, endangering the integrity of their property. That's when Foam Guys rose to the challenge, ready to restore balance and security.

Upon arriving at the client’s yard, the Foam Guys crew did a thorough walk-through with the homeowner. This crucial assessment illuminated several problematic areas, highlighting soil loss and voids in the yard. The foundation and seawall system exhibited signs of impending failure, underscoring the need for immediate reinforcement or replacement.

The Foam Guys proposed SPF as a faster, more cost-effective, and minimally invasive solution, empowering the client to avoid a full replacement and potentially save around $100,000. This initial evaluation also provided the client with an opportunity to voice their concerns directly. Under the leadership of a project foreman, the Foam Guys crew diligently reviewed all project notes and images stored in their Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. They promptly addressed any discrepancies between the on-site conditions and the remediation plan for review. Moreover, a pre-construction walk-through with the client’s representative was conducted to identify potential hazards and establish appropriate protective measures.

The Foam Guys rig is fully equipped with professional-grade tools, including a Graco E-30 Reactor system. It also features an eye wash station, complete first aid kit, absorbent oil pads, backup personal protective equipment (PPE), coveralls, and respiratory protection, along with ample hose length for full reach and application flexibility.

With a clear plan in place, the crew proceeded to drive their injection rods approximately one and a half to two feet behind the seawall, spacing them evenly every two feet. This thoughtful setup ensures broad and even foam distribution beneath the problem areas. Once all the rods were secured, the crew methodically installed injection ports into each one.

The Foam Guys demonstrated their expertise with the use of their patented HF 402 Hydro Foam, a high-performance material crafted for underwater and underground stabilization. Armed with an injection gun, they skillfully mixed the two foam components right at the gun, ensuring maximum reactivity and precision. As the foam expanded underground, it filled voids and stabilized the soil, powerfully restoring the structural integrity behind the seawall.

When the crew encountered an unexpected void space halfway through the project, they swiftly adapted, stabilizing the area at no additional cost to the client. Ultimately, the crew stabilized 98 linear feet of seawall using approximately 750 cubic feet of foam, which equated to one and a half drum sets. Upon completion of the foam injection, they carefully removed all spent injection rods and cleaned any foam residue. They then added clean fill and performed thorough compaction, blending the repair seamlessly with the existing seawall structure and achieving a clean, professional finish.
